We decided to go out of the norm and celebrate, or do our holiday stuff, on Saturday instead of Monday. This way we don't have to deal with crowds and we could enjoy ourselves with less stress. We took a drive to a state park. it was a long drive, although only about 20 miles from home. We took a roundabout way. Actually it was more of a spirally way. It was a beautiful drive and Abby got a nap in as well. Of course she knew that when we stopped we would be getting out and she would get a drink so when we stopped (during the time she was awake) we stopped at a stop sign and she yelled from the back, "we stopped, can I get a drink now?", all nice and cute. Abby even poured her entire drink on her lunch plate. I guess she wasn't as thirsty as we thought.
It was a sticky day. We took another drive that evening and went through some nice well-to-do areas. We even ended up in New York. WE found another state park to stop and feed maxwell and by then it was gorgeous out. It was a beautiful lake with a beach and we even saw a diver. How I so wished we had a canoe at that moment. It would have been fun to go out on the lake.
