The deaf teacher came today. We went over Christmas signs and I will also work on some more signs to teach him during our trip. I am not sure having the deaf teacher makes a difference with anything. Perhaps it is because I have the internet and can look up anything when I have a question. Usually when she gives me information it is something I have already looked into and know. However, I guess I have gotten some great ideas from her and it helps to keep me motivated and steer me in different directions to help Maxwell learn ASL. So, I suppose I should not complain.

Maxwell is getting stronger and I feel he will be able to support himself in a sitting position within the next few months or less. He can actually hold his upper body up and can do it for several seconds. This is a high achievement for him. There are only a few things he does not make progress in but that is ok. He is making progress and that is what matters.

I ordered a special bottle for him over the internet. It should arrive tomorrow if the website was honest in telling me when they ship. Although I already have a few "specail" bottles I am hoping this one works. If it does not I was able to find some other ones that may help. Surprisingly this bottle is exactly what I had been wishing existed and if I invented a bottle it would be like that. Well, they've made it and it exists and I am getting one. One of the other bottles I found is basically a (oh, I can't think of the word.....) well, it looks like a medicine dropper attached to a bottle. We already use a medicine dropper to try and get extra milk in him and I don't feel so crazy for doing something that appeared "weird". However it is things will work out. I have decided that if he does not gain weight through any of these means by the beginning of the year I will ok a feeding tube. He has no room to lose any more weight than he already has and I don't want to see him lose anymore. If I can get him up to 15lbs by the end of December I will be happy.

Abby has decided that her bed is too small. I would agree, especially since she has no room on her bed when she tries to sleep with a packpack that is nearly as big as she is. Of course I suppose getting a larger bed is needed once we move. She is getting too big and has little room left on her tiny toddler bed. I guess that's what happens to some kids, they do grow.
