I've been dejunking the best I can for the past several days. It doesn't help that I cna't get it finished, or at least that is how it seems. I seem to get part of a room done and before I know it I am playing hide and seek with Abby or stacking cups with Maxwell.
My dejunking is working somewhat. I have a huge pile of stuff to make a tag/garage sale in the near future. Sam told me today that if I was going to be putting it all in the living room we needed to have it this Saturday. I guess I better hurry and get everything finished so I can be ready for a garage sale.
In the east they call them tag sale. In Montana they call them garage sales. I can't remember what they are in TX or out west in NV. I think here they call them a yard sale. How about I just call it a driveway sale. That might get some people coming just to figure out what a driveway sale really is.
Some people here have permanent yard sales. They buy up junk (really, that is what it all looks like) from other yard sales and have a permanent 'shop' in their yard. There is one we pass by on the way into town. Sometimes you have to be careful to not look back in wonder when you see they have put a big stuffed (carnival type) animal atop an old bike. The turn over is good for them, I wonder sometimes just how well they really do.

I love dejunking. Bob is the worst at that:) It's like pulling teeth for him to go through his closet and think of what he doesn't wear any more. It's also hard for me to throw away or give away something simply because of the way I grew up. But then I know how it feels great after I do it and I never even remember things I give away. I have been selling things on craigslist too before we move. So maybe you can check that out for your big items.
