Well, things are going here. It is labor day. I think there ought to be an appropriate parade with a bunch of people dressed as postmen, bosses, secretaries, teachers, doctors, garbage men, etc....
Oh come on, that would totally be fun! Wouldn't it?

Anyhow, Maxwell's first week of school went good and Abby got through her second week. I will need to get some padding as protection because When I go to pick up Abby at school she runs to me yelling, "Mama, Mama, Mama," and then jumps into my arms. This isn't a bad thing, but I had to talk to her about being gentle about it. The last time literally hurt she jumped into me so hard.
Abby is loving school. She has a great teacher and I'm glad. We even get music performances from her every once in awhile.
Maxwell finally had a really good appointment at his regular speech therapist. He had good appts. when he went to the one at Johns Hopkins but we couldn't keep going there during the school year, there just isn't time. I was a slightly worried because Max just never showed the same results, or anything similar, when at the regular one until last week. Not only did Maxwell respond to sound but he made the "sssss" sound several times. At first I thought it was just his breathing but then when he kept doing it and at the appropriate times it made both of us very excited. He also grabbed a toy when a certain sound was made and when we said, "shoe", he grabbed the therapist's hands and had her signs shoes. It was very cute and very neat to see.
