Abby has decided today that she wants to trap Maxwell. For some reason, from time to time, her of playing with Max is to trap him. Sometimes that results in Maxwell being put in the closet. Other times she puts all the laundry baskets around him to block him in. Usually if laundry baskets are used it is Maxwell who ends up under the basket. For all those who are worried, this is a game that Maxwell loves.
Today the trap consists of 4 tunnels (you know those kid tunnels that can fold up to a ring.) attached to a tent. It makes a nice little 'circle'. The text has window. The tunnels have mesh tops. Maxwell loves the tunnels and Abby was jealous and wanted to be in the tent. I guess they are both trapped now. I think I won this game.
What's great is watching Maxwell try to find a way out.

As I have said in the past there are so many things we just take for granted or just think are cute with normal kids. WE don't think of certain things as great accomplishments. However, for Maxwell he likes to change that.
Maxwell does not like going to bed. He will get out of bed as soon as I've left the room. This results in me putting him back in bed several times an evening.
I think Maxwell is beginning to catch on to the routine though. I caught him getting ready to get out of bed the other night and went in to lay him back down. Before I got to him he looked at me, laid down, and put the blanket back on.
I left the room, just outside the doorway and waited. As soon as he got up I went back in and he repeated the process by laying down again and putting the blanket back on.
I don't know if he will ever do it again, but that night he understood and it was cute as it would be cute with any child.
