If there is one major weakness I have it is my word choice. I am not very good at saying what it is I want to say. Often times what I say conveys only a portion of what I am thinking. Today I write because I found that what I said did not come across as stating an entire truth and therefore I wish to make up what it is I did not say.
Eating is an issue with Max. He is a small baby and it took him awhile to learn how to eat, by then he missed the first growth spert of his life. Although he is not up to par with most of his peers he is gaining weight at the same rate they are, which is about a pound a month. Dr's are not concerned about his weight at this point. Although the drs have told me to start him on solids he is not as able to do it as most of his peers. This is not very much of a concern to me because although he is not very good at it and seems to choke a lot with eating other food he can manage a tiny tiny bit at a time. Althgouh he is small he is healthy and is not lacking in nutrition. He is very good at letting me know when he is full and when he has too much it is quite obvious, so a matter of trying to get him to gain weight by feeding him more isn't quite going to work. A little at a time for a little fellow. There is no need for concern, just to let those who are concerned know.
Any questions I might have or anyone else who brings them to me can be addressed at dr visits which we do have quite regularly. I am not concerned enough to schedule extra appointments from the ones he already has just in case anyone is feeling like I am not being diligent enough in getting him into the dr. I appreciate everyone's concerns, love and prayers. I appreciate all the advice people have given me, it is quite helpful and it is all taken note of even if I do not do as everyone thinks I ought.
Maxwell has made great improvements in the last little while. He can roll over now and that has taken quite a lot of work to do. For a little guy he is working hard to make these acheivements. He has hearing aids now and eats all of the time (just in case I forgot to mention that he eats a whole heck of a lot).
So...now you know about Maxwell and his progress and that there is nothing to worry about. :)
