I feel like I am in a cheesy horror film that is poorly made. Every time I turn around there are more and more ants. These are not normal ants, they bit, and they find everything. Each time I see them it is like I am just waiting for the larger swarm to come and just start attacking me. They live in the walls, they live under our house and right outside. it is like the old Spider killing movie with with actor who played "Captain Kirk" on "Star Trek". I don't remember the name but that is how it feels. Then add to the horror of the flies that won't stop. They keep coming at all directions. At least I can get the flies with less effort then the ants.
I have had to clean out all of my cupboards just so I could spray for the ants because they finally made it to the kitchen. I was hoping it wouldn't take that long. Oh well, hopefully the spray will have done its job and they won't return.
I got some goat milk for Maxwell tonight. We went to a local farm that sells goat milk. They gave me a bit to sample first and make sure that he can handle it. If so then I will get it as often as I can. The lady who gave it to me said there was a man a few months ago who bought a goat from her to take back to Las Vegas so he could milk it himself. He has a baby Maxwell's age with failure to thrive and eating difficulties. From what this lady told me the man's baby is doing well and is healthy. I will see if this works and helps to put weight on Maxwell. I was given the fattiest milk they have. Since it is new I tried only an ounce to begin with. That was the fastest Maxwell has ever taken an ounce through his SNS. I have nothing to lose by this, I hope. I have tried everything that I can, that is within my power to do without intervention. Heck, I've tried the intervention and some of that is not where I want to go again. I've got a few weeks, or just under, to see what kind of difference this might make. Here's to hoping.
It was a nice visit to see the goats. We arrived right as they were beginning to feed the babies. Abby helped feed them. She fed three goats and one lamb. She was quite thrilled at the idea and enjoyed it very much. Now, if only I can get her to be that enthusiastic about working at home.
