Since we have been here Sam has received two job offers to places he never applied. One offer was when he went to a library conference. He hadn't even been at this job two months. He turned it down, obviously. The other was from a friend in CA. She has been talking up Sam to her superiors for some time now and he would have a good shot at getting the job, tenure, at a college. It was his dream job, or what looked like it. It could have been, but he turned it down. It just wouldn't pay enough to live with a family of 4 in that area.
Since we will be here for a little while at least, we decided to go ahead and finish the loan papers. We have been sitting on them for a month trying to decide if we should just stick it out in this trailer or get a place that would fill our space needs. We decided to fill our space needs (prbably health needs too) and send in the papers. It coudln't hurt, really. We don't know how long we will be here but we might as well make the best of it and enjoy it. I will send the papers in Monday.
Abby is covered in bites. She has never seemed to complain when she is bitten. There are ants in her room that bite. Perhaps this could explain why she wakes up in the middle of the night screaming. The ants just might not like someone sleeping on their turf. I would get rid of these silly things, but I have no idea where they are coming from. They are in the bedroom and the bathroom, in the tub and in the toys. They don't form a line from here to there they are just everywhere, scattered about, doing their own thing. They drive me nuts, but they are only ants, and they are not mice, for which I am grateful.
I tried the goat's milk lady today. I figured I would give some to Max and see if it helps. It couldn't hurt and i have heard so many things about it, so why not. She wasn't home though, so I must wait a few more days to try again. Nothing hurts at this point. It is just a matter of finding new things and trying old things that didn't work the first time but may work now. It is exhausting, emotionally and physically.
