Picture overload!

I have been busy lately, not to mention out of town, so I decided to finally download pictures and get the updates going. I also have updates for my other blogs and need to get those done before it become dead and I forget what I wanted to say about the things I am doing. If you don't know what I am talking about then check out the link on the right hand side for Chocolate Parlor. Of course, the name may or may not change, I'm undecided, but it is what I have been up to. If you know anyone who would like to participate and help keep the thing going send them my way. I would love to have more people to keep it going and updated frequently.

Anyhow, we went to Salt Lake City last week. It was fun. Of course, the weather didn't really like us whenever we wanted to go outside. Abby was pleased and quite excited to see snow and wanted to play in it, unfortunately I didn't want to drive in it for long so we had to leave.

While in Utah I took Abby to Temple Square. I also took her to the Church History Museum. They had a wonderful "I am a Child of God" display that was hands-on. It was perfect for Maxwell and Abby. Abby enjoyed playing dress-up and Maxwell really enjoyed the building blocks at the "Build a Temple" section. I personally enjoyed the "Rod of Iron" display.

After lunch we toured the Beehive House. We were joined by a family of some sort who had a few kids. Abby picked the shortest kid of that bunch. I guess she figured that whoever was the shortest was the closest to her age. The poor kid was scared to death, although it seemed her mother was getting a kick out of it. The kid was taller than Abby, but Abby insisted on trying to hold the girl's hand and even tried to hug her. Poor kid kept trying to run away and the look of fear on her face. Even with the encouragement from me to keep her away and not make a scene Abby was not deterred from her mission of making a friend. All in all, I think Abby failed in really making a friend, but she enjoyed it none the less.

In our house Sam does little cooking. There are reasons he stays out of the kitchen. At least we both got a good laugh at the results. He did manage to cook his food, but he also managed to cook the hair off his arm as well.

Sam had his interview in North Logan. We haven't heard from them yet. At this point we don't think they will call. The best he could do was give them his best. He felt it was a good interview but they could've interviewed other people as well, so there is competition. However it is, we will not be deterred in our quest to leave the Valley.

Sam got an email yesterday from a lady in Northern NV. She was at the convention in Utah. She was emailed him to ask if he would apply to their library. Last year another person, from the same library, asked Sam to apply there as well. They have an opening. They pay good, but location is lacking in being desirable.

While in Utah I got to visit Devanie. It was fun to see someone who had been in CT at the same time as us. She bought a bunch of Easter dresses to sell. Abby tried one on. I didn't take many pictures, but it sure was cute!
