Not much goes on in our house from time to time. Just the same old stuff, usually.
Sam had a birthday yesterday. He's turned 30. I know he gave me permission to tease him because he teased me a lot when I reached that age, but I just couldn't find it in me to tease him. Maybe it is because I am older and therefore wiser. :)
We didn't do much to celebrate though, not yet anyway. In a few weeks we will go play laser tag!!! Bwah ha ha ha ha.
Abby has learned to tie her shoes. What a lovely thing to learn. I am so happy for her. It took a few months. No, we didn't work on it every day, that would've made it take even longer. She can do it though and is very proud of herself for such a huge accomplishment. Me, I'm just glad I don't have to untie any double knots any more.
Maxwell is doing well. I kept him home from school yesterday because he woke at 3am and never went back to sleep. I didn't dare send a too tired boy to school. I did take him this morning, and personally delivered him. That gave me a chance to talk with his teacher. She mentioned how wired he has been lately and then asked how I am able to change his diaper at home. I had the same question for her. Maxwell is a wired energetic boy. I can no longer say that Abby has all the energy. I think Maxwell has found his reserve and then some.
Now for me, well, I've decided to finally do something productive. I'm trying more sewing projects with material and such from around the house. I am enjoying this way more than I ever expected to. This could be dangerous. I'm also trying to focus more on my ASL learning. I took a few weeks of a break but am back to my online classes (free ASL lessons offered through lifeprint.com). For once I feel I'm actually getting somewhere with my ASL.
