We just got back from CT. We were not there very long, and although I would have loved to see all of my friends there just wasn't time. Most of the time spent there was at Nana's viewing and then the funeral the next day. Although it was sad the funeral was a beautiful one. We will all miss Nana. I didn't know I was attached to her as much as I was. It didn't occur to me that she had won a place in my heart. She died the way the dr. predicted and the original reason we went to Ct to help her out. Unfortunately we could not stay any longer there to help out. I feel guilty in a way because Abby is not able to be there with her Gramps to help him. He wanted her there, he hated saying goodbye to her and I wish he didn't have to. Perhaps though in the future he will be able to come visit us and spend time with his great-granddaughter.
I am glad to be home. It was a rough trip. It took a lot out of all of us, emotional and physically. Everyone is tired and exhausted and we just don't have any emotion left to spend. So, we are relaxing and waiting to have enough energy to unpack.
