Sam had an interview with a library in Alaska. They are only asking two people to second interviews. Sam is one of them. There is only one problem. It is in Alaska, in a more isolated spot then here. I don't think he will even go to the second interview. He may turn the job down, but then again, he may decide to go for it.

Sam has another interview in Maryland. That one won't be so bad, at least it is in the middle of civilization.

Maxwell is still making progress. I have been trying to get him to eat more food and get more fat in as well. After being sick and losing weight he is back up to 20lbs. That is always good, and he seemed to gain it faster this time, so hopefully he will keep going strong. I can't complain too much though, he's gained 6lbs in less than a year and may still gain more.



Anyhow, Maxwell is learning how to feed himself. Small steps, small steps. He is will let his hand be put on a spoon and mine over his and let his hand stay on the spoon for at least 2-4 bites. That's pretty good, for him. He is also using his sippy cup. We started the sippy cup the same way as the spoon, and he will now hold the sippy cup on his own. He is getting good at putting it in his mouth and all he really needs help with is getting his elbows up so it lifts the cup higher to put the water in his mouth. Ok, so he needs me to move his hands to the cup before he will actually hold it, but he can hold it, and drink on his own. I can let go him and the cup and he will be drinking!!!! Big Yay!!!!!

Abby is loving her new haircut. She tells everyone how it doesn't hurt when her hair is brushed. She sure hated tangles.

Abby is also getting much better at playing with Maxwell. She has begun to sign the family prayer to him. She will also sign books and songs to him while we are in the car. This is remarkable progress for her, since she has been pretty much unwilling to play with Max until recently.
