At the beginning of the month I took Maxwell in to a foot dr. This was to determine if some kind of support brace was needed to help Max as he learns to walk. So, the appointment was quick but we were sent out for x-rays. We were supposed to go back to discuss the results but the snow just kept causing us to cancel appointments. We finally got back today. Wanna know how it went?
As always Maxwell has stumped his dr. The dr. will call us tomorrow after he does some searching to find a surgeon. Now don't freak out just yet, he doesn't need surgery, yet. Turns out Maxwell's ankle bone is more vertical than it ought to be. It should actually be in a horizontal position. What has the dr. stumped is that most people who have this going on have rigid feet (I'm just describing it the best I can, I might be slightly off). Maxwell, on the other hand is way over flexible. So, the dr. is sending us to the surgeon to get a second opinion as well as figure out if Max would need surgery or not. In the meantime, he'll probably get arch supports for his shoes because Max has no arch in his foot.
Good ol' Max, he likes to keep us on our toes and him on his heels.
